Advanced Classes
Class Set Bonuses
Decelerator
Increased drop rate from PVP.
(2) +2% Mastery
(4) Force Slow now has 2 charges. Using Force Slow on an enemy already under the effect of Force Slow slows them by an additional 20% and extends the duration.
Comments: A cute PVP set that has some situational utility but doesn't directly improve mitigation or DPS. Sage players already have plenty of tools for kiting so this set is not going to be useful in most circumstances.
Dire Retaliation
Increased drop rate from conquest crates.
(2) +2% Endurance
(4) Force Wave increases your defense by 5% for 10 seconds. Getting attack during this time causes your next Force attack to critically hit. This effect can only occur once every 10 seconds.
Comments: This set is interesting in that it provides both a mitigation benefit rotationally via the use of your knockback and can also trigger an auto-crit periodically. It is definitely the only set that has some decent utility among the general class set bonuses, even though it doesn't provide enough benefit to recommend it over other options.
Soulbender
Increased drop rate from Onderon/Mek'sha daily missions.
(2) +2% Mastery
(4) Force Stun's stun lasts an additional 2 seconds.
Comments: This set has some very niche opportunities for use by Shadow players for stealth capping nodes in PVP and for PVP in general for solo battles. 2 extra seconds of stun duration can be the difference for a successful cap of a node and can provide the necessary time to kill an opponent while stunned.
The Controller
Crafted by Synthweaving.
(2) +2% Endurance
(4) Killing the enemy affected by Force Lift before its cooldown ends resets the cooldown of Force Lift.
Comments: This is a neat quality of life set bonus to enable far more frequent use of your mez ability. It would be really neat as a situational tactical to swap in for relevant add pulls in operations/flashpoints, leveling, or even PVP. Not good enough to justify the investment in gear versus the other options.
