Advanced Class Set Bonuses

Tactician

Increased drop rate from conquest.

(4) Tactical Overdrive additionally resets the cooldown Sever Tendon and Toxic Scan. Gaining an Tactical Advantage increases your Critical Chance by 10% for 10 seconds. Can only happen once every 18 seconds.

(6) Tactical Advantage gets an additional stack. Having an Tactical Advantage increases your damage and healing by 5%.

Comments: BIS for most situations for DPS and healers. The combination of high uptime of +10% critical chance and full uptime of +5% damage/healing buffs, and being able to hold 3 UH/TAs (for DPS) or 4 UH/TAs (for healers), is really really strong.

Aggressive Treatment

Increased drop rate from operations.

(2) +2% Mastery

(4) Toxic Haze refunds all its energy.

(6) Toxic Haze heals any allies standing inside it by a minor amount.

Comments: Situationally useful for fights with very heavy AoE healing requirements. That said, it only slightly outperforms Tactician in pure AoE healing and vastly underperforms Tactician in single target or mixed healing situations.

Authority

Increased drop rate from Nature of Progress (Dxun operation) and is not available from the Tech Fragment vendor.

(6) Activating Noxious Knives reduces the cooldown of Toxic Haze by 3 seconds. Every enemy affected by Toxic Haze takes 20% more damage from Noxious Knives.

Comments: Situationally useful for fights with heavy AoE DPS potential. Noxious Knives does lackluster DPS but with the 6-piece set bonus buff to damage and reducing the CD on Toxic Haze would be a sizable AoE DPS increase.

Debilitator

Increased drop rate from PVP.

(2) +2% Mastery

(4) Exfiltrate's recharge time is reduced by 2 seconds.

(6) Debilitate gets two ability charges.

Comments: This set bonus is an interesting option for PVP. Higher uptime on your roll helps mitigate damage and an extra hard stun is always super helpful.

Superiority

Increased drop rate from The Nature of Progress Operation on Master Mode Difficulty, and has a small chance from Unidentified items on the Spoils of War vendors.

(2) +2% Mastery

(4) Infiltrate maxes out your Tactical Advantages when activated.

(6) Tactical Superiority now consumes up to 2 Tactical Advantage stacks and scales its critical chance buff with the amount consumed, up to 20%.

Comments: A set bonus introduced in 6.1.2 with MM Dxun. The set is cool that in that it adds more power to your set bonus, but at the extreme trade-off of the many bonuses of the Tactician set. Not recommended.

Advanced Class Tacticals

Combat Medic Training

Resuscitation Probe becomes instant cast and Kolto Infusion can be cast while moving.

Comments: Situationally useful for healers for movement heavy encounters, but unlikely to be taken given the very strong tacticals available to healers.

Artistic Insights

Increased drop rate from daily missions.

Tactical Overdrive maxes out your Tactical Advantages.

Comments: This set bonus sounds strong as extra TAs means more DPS and/or more healing. That said, getting an incremental extra 3/4 TAs over Tactical Overdrive's cooldown is very marginal as compared to the benefits of specialization-specific tactical item options.

Augmented Holocomm

Increased drop rate from PVP.

Holotraverse gains an additional charge.

Comments: This tactical could have very situational use in PVP for Huttball maps to quickly ping pong across a map to score. With a stealth out option available to then swap to a more traditional tactical, it has a very niche use in PVP.

Surgical Shiv

Increased drop rate from conquest.

Half of Shiv's and Veiled Strike's damage heals you.

Comments: Sounds nice but early testing suggests it is effectively providing a 1-2% heal every 4-5 GCDs, which is barely noticeable.
